We are Giving Green the Green Light This Spring

From lime to jade and all the grassy and lush greens in between, here is a roundup of my some of my favorite ways green is being used and some tips on how to work it into your home this spring.

Start with a small splash here and there.  Just as the first sprigs of spring grass pop through the grey of winter, adding a sprig of green here and there throughout your home sets the stage for brighter days ahead.  Colored glass on a book shelf or a vignette of glazed vases on a sofa table are great ways to build a bit of green into your world.

I really love introducing natural stone around a room to bring in a little organic chic .  I found these green agate coasters via Hello Posh on Etsy.  The gold guild edged rims make for a true statement on any table.  I can see this as a short stack w/ a little succulent or as a scatter across a coffee table and try mixing in with some interesting art books to get the palette really going.

One of the easiest and least inexpensive ways to freshen up your favorite room or to bring a trend color into play is through our accent pillows.  What a fantastic way to spruce up your grey farmhouse style sofa or partner with gold, silver or bronze metallic in a more modern mix.  Mingling patterns and various shades and hues of green in one room creates a conversation of color that is both dynamic and impactful without major budget constraints.

Don’t forget to go vertical!  Set your green soaring by pulling your eye up.  I really love these image inspirations showing the use of our trending trestle style table and upholstered ivory chairs and with a pinch of green accents through lofty drapes and a stylish barn door.  I have had many clients over the past couple of years fall in love with the modern farmhouse or farmhouse chic look.  These moments of green elevate the farmhouse feel into a color direction that is classically fresh and new.

Whether carried in on velvet or glass, chalk paint or stone, you can easily create a room to be envied with flashes of green and give green the green light go this spring.
